A free debt payoff calculator for your website. Readers enter a balance, interest rate and monthly payment, and see how long until it's paid off and what it costs in interest. One snippet, no scripts on your page, and it works with JavaScript off.

How it works

  1. Enter the balance owed and the interest rate (APR) from the statement.
  2. Enter the monthly payment.
  3. See the months to debt-free, the interest it costs and the total paid. If the payment doesn’t cover the interest, it says what would.

What moves the date

Pay more
Even a small bump in the payment cuts months and interest.
Lower rate
A lower APR means more of each payment goes to the balance.
No new charges
The estimate assumes the balance only goes down.

An estimate: fixed rate, no new charges. Not financial advice.

Questions

Does it work with WordPress, Squarespace and Wix?

Yes. Paste the code into a Custom HTML block in WordPress, a Code block in Squarespace, or Embed code in Wix. Anywhere that accepts HTML works.

Will it slow my site down?

No. It loads in its own frame, only when a reader scrolls near it, and adds no scripts or fonts to your page.

Does it track my visitors?

No. It sets no cookies, stores nothing about your readers and can't read your page. What a reader types stays in their browser. We only note which website it loads on.

Can it match my site?

It comes in light and dark versions, and you can choose its starting numbers. If you want one built in your own brand, get in touch.

Is it free?

Yes. Keep the credit line under it and use it on as many pages as you like.

How is the interest calculated?

Monthly: the APR divided by 12, added to the balance each month before the payment comes off. Real statements can differ slightly, for example with daily interest.

What if the payment is too low?

If a payment doesn't cover the month's interest, the balance never goes down. The widget says so and shows the smallest payment that makes progress.
